untitled #1

January 21, 2009

Twisting , turning

spiral stair.

Gazing up,

I see you there.

Eyes speak volumes,

just a glance.

Our encounter

– more than chance.

Filled with hope,

and yet still wary,

another loss

my heart can’t carry.

I climb up.

We meet halfway.

Breathless now,

a moment, stay.

Outstretched hands,

then holding tight,

within your arms

I lose my fight.

Unspoken promise,

climb stairs high.

Two lives entwined

into the sky.
