December 6, 2010 -- waiting

December 6, 2010. 5:20pm. ISO 100. Shutter 3. Aperture f/20. Manual exposure, no flash.

Waiting.
We all do it. It is human nature.
Some of us are patient. Waiting calmly.
More of us are impatient… ready, always ready for the next thing.

Hurry up… and wait.

Waiting.
Why do we do it?
People wait for their children. They wait for the elderly.
Some wait until they feel better.
Many are waiting for the opportune moment.
Some wait because they are indecisive.
Some are waiting because they know what they want.
–good things come to those who wait.

Waiters wait. But Waders do not wait. You can watch your wait, or your weight, or both at the same time.

You may be waiting for someone else to finish up what they were supposed to. (You must be waiting to become the catalyst,)

New mothers wait nine months for their babies. Animals wait for their young to be born. These children, inevitably, cannot wait to become adults!

Some people are waiting for their ship to come in. Some are waiting for their real lives to begin.

I know what I am waiting for. It is the ultimate thing. It is ‘worth the wait’.

What are you waiting for?

  1. As always, a great read. I love your blogs and thoughts on things. Keep up the great work Torie!

  2. Tom Petty says the waiting is the hardest part. I think it depends on what you’re waiting for.
